Executive Director Jaie Laplante and MIFF team hosted the MIAMI@tiff XXX party to kick off MIFF’s 30th edition (March 1-10, 2013) during the Toronto International Film Festival at Spice Route on September 11th. Guests included film industry VIPS Richard Lorber, President and CEO at Kino Lorber; Arianne Ayers and Maureen Masters from Magnolia Pictures; Jonathan Howell, VP Theatrical Distribution and Acquisitions at New Yorker Films; Nicholas Kaiser, Sales Agent at Memento Films International; Gunnar Almer, Associate Director International Department at the Swedish Film Institute; Tom Davia, Shoreline Entertainment; Stacey Hawkins from Liberty Entertainment Group; Andres Bayona, Proimagenes Colombia; Monika Wagenberg, Artistic Director, FICCI; Pituka Ortega de Heilbron, Director, Panama IFF; and filmmakers Jody Shapiro, How to Start Your Own Country (MIFF 2011); Juan Gordon, Cell 211.
