Tigre tells the story of Rina, a woman advancing in years, who returns to the Tigre delta north of Buenos Aires to find an old colonial house that she abandoned 15 years ago in an attempt to reclaim her past and recover family bonds.[/fusion_text][fusion_text]
[/fusion_text][fusion_text]A Sort of Family received $12,500 in cash courtesy of The Related Group and Miami Film Festival during its development phase in 2015. It tells the story of a determined woman as she navigates the legally complex and morally dubious labyrinth of child adoption in the rural, disadvantaged communities of Argentina’s north.
Tigre will world premiere in the Discovery section at TIFF, while A Sort of Family will debut in the Contemporary World Cinema section. Both films were programmed at TIFF by Diana Sanchez, who discovered Tigre as a jury member at 2017 Miami Encuentros. Additionally, both films will go on to have their European premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival later in September.[/fusion_text][fusion_separator style_type=”single solid” top_margin=”30″ bottom_margin=”20″ sep_color=”#000000″ border_size=”” icon=”” icon_circle=”” icon_circle_color=”” width=”” alignment=”center” class=”” id=””/][/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_2″ last=”no” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” hover_type=”none” link=”” border_position=”all” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_separator style_type=”none” top_margin=”25″ bottom_margin=”25″ sep_color=”#ffffff” border_size=”” icon=”” icon_circle=”” icon_circle_color=”” width=”” alignment=”center” class=”” id=””/][fusion_text][/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_2″ last=”yes” spacing=”yes” center_content=”no” hide_on_mobile=”no” background_color=”” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” background_position=”left top” hover_type=”none” link=”” border_position=”all” border_size=”0px” border_color=”” border_style=”” padding=”” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” animation_type=”” animation_direction=”” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” class=”” id=””][fusion_text][/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
