Festival regulations hold 50%, or $15,000 of the cash award, for 30 days after the close of the Festival to enable a sales agent or producer to have leverage to close a deal for US theatrical rights. Should a deal close, the Festival will send $15,000 directly to your new US distributor.
Chile’s Family Life (Vida de familia), directed by Cristián Jiménez and Alicia Scherson, selected as the 2017 Miami Knight Competition winner by a Grand Jury consisting of filmmaker Michel Franco, Dublin International Film Festival director Grainne Humphreys and Knight Foundation Arts Program Director Bahia Ramos, is now entering US theaters!
Sold by Ryan Kampe’s Visit Films, the company’s US distribution label Monument Releasing is releasing Family Life in theaters around the United States with the support of the $30,000 cash Miami Knight Competition Grand Prize.
