Miami Film Festival, in collaboration with MDC Kendall Campus, presents a Drive-In Pop-Up Special Event screening of the highly anticipated Argentina-Spain comedy HEROIC LOSERS, starring Ricardo Darin and his son Chino Darin. Set in Argentina during the 2001 financial crisis, HEROIC LOSERS centers on a group of small-town folks who gather all their savings for a dream project and entrust the money to their local bank. A day later, the government freezes all bank accounts. HEROIC LOSERS is a witty and thrilling film about people getting beat up by the system, and deciding to punch back. The film is directed by Sebastián Borensztein, whose classic comedy Chinese Take-Out (Un cuento chino), starring Ricardo Darin played to an electric sold-out Olympia Theater as Closing Night of the 2012 Miami Film Festival.
