Miami Film Festival is one of six exclusive US film festival partners on the new HBO Max Latino Short Film Competition, a short film competition open to eligible filmmakers who submit a 8 to 20-minute film, with the theme of “Community”.

By submitting to HBO Max Latino Short Film Competition at Miami Film Festival, you will automatically be considered for programming at the 2023 Miami Film Festival.

Miami Film Festival will judge all submissions received to determine the top 10 Finalists to send to HBO Max. The Finalists selected by Miami Film Festival and the six other Film Festivals will then be judged by HBO Max to determine six winners that HBO Max and WarnerMedia OneFifty will then license to premiere on the platform at a later date.

See Official Rules for complete details at hbomaxlatinoshortfilm.dja.com. The competition is open to Latino/a/x filmmakers (writers, directors, or producers) who are legal residents of the 50 U.S./DC or PR 18+ (19+ in AL & NE, 21+ in MS). Submission must be received by 11:59 PM on 4/22/22.
