Dennis (Jamie Dornan) and Steve (Anthony Mackie) are New Orleans paramedic partners who encounter a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug named Synchronic. When Dennis's teenage daughter of Dennis (Dornan) vanishes while partying on Synchronic, Steve secretly experiments with the drug in an attempt to gather clues as to her whereabouts – with shocking results.
Moorhead and Benson's thrilling and often blackly funny film is deliciously alive to the voodoo vibe of New Orleans, past and present.
