About
Miami Film Festival’s screening of LOST GIRLS, a premium Marquee event featuring director Liz Garbus, as well as the presentation of the Festival’s Precious Gem Award to actress Amy Ryan, previously scheduled for Monday, March 9th at 7:30 pm at MDC’s Tower Theater Miami, has been cancelled.
Amy Ryan has sent this statement:
"I want to express how sad I am that I can’t be with you all for the Miami premiere of LOST GIRLS. I was looking forward to discussing this film that I’m so proud of. I was also looking forward to your weather! I sincerely hope that I have another opportunity to be with you all again."
Liz Garbus has sent this statement:
"I'm sending my sincere apologies for having to cancel my visit to Miami, which is one of my favorite cities, and I've enjoyed showing my films at the festival so much. Issues around travel and potential stoppages, in addition to the advice of doctors to postpone non-essential travel, have made it impossible for me to join you all at the festival. I'm very sorry to miss this, and I hope that I can redeem it in the near future!"
LOST GIRLS will be available to all Netflix subscribers beginning Friday, March 13th and Miami Film Festival encourages all patrons to seek out this exceptional film.
