In a Whisper is a deeply personal documentary exploring themes particularly relatable to Cuban expatriates – the sense of loss that comes with the gain of freedom upon leaving Cuba behind to create a new life in an unknown culture.
Two filmmakers, Patricia Pérez Fernández and Heidi Hassan, both part of the Cuban diaspora, have lost contact for years, after fleeing the country in which they grew up as best friends, for better lives - Heidi in Switzerland, Patricia in Spain.
Patricia and Heidi rediscover each other again through video letters in which they to share their personal, emotional journeys, while trying to find themselves and each other in a foreign land.
