About
In the wild and beautiful Quebec country side, three elderly hermits live deep in the woods, cut off from the rest of the world. Tom (Rémy Girard), Charlie (Gilbert Sicotte), and Ted (Kenneth Welsh) fled from civilization years ago, surviving by selling pot to nearby locals. But wildfires threatening the region and the arrival of two women are about to shake their quiet existence. One is a luminous octogenarian, unjustly institutionalized her whole life, and the other a young photographer seeking the answers to a mystery at the heart of her latest art project.
Masterfully directed by Louise Archambault, one of Canada's most acclaimed directors, And the Birds Rained Down is an ode to the one thing that we all want more of: time.
