Nate Biller is a Creative Director at Jump Cut, an entertainment ad agency that creates trailers, posters and key art for film and television.

Originally from Barstow, California, he now designs and illustrates from his home in Hollywood. He has been nominated and won various creative accolades, including Clio and Golden Trailer awards, for his work in entertainment print design. He is also an avid connoisseur of golden age cinema and vintage pop culture, which he cites is the main inspiration for his personal and professional art.

The design is a tribute to the early festival posters of the 80s that created a classic cinematic feeling in a rich and decadent way. The poster represents the rich history of the festival and consequently film in general. It includes decades of references to films featured at the festival throughout it’s 40 year history, and expresses excitement for the future of filmmaking for the next 40 and beyond.
