The Miami Film Festival is a competitive film festival awarding cash prizes to filmmakers with both Jury & Audience Awards each year.

Additionally, awards of honor & recognition are given to standouts in the industry with the Impact, Art of Light, and Precious Gem Awards.

Marimbas Award

Jury-selected U.S. or international narrative feature films compete for the Festival’s Top Prize.

The Made in MIA Feature Film Award and Made in MIA Short Film Award are competitions for jury-selected, locally made films.

The Jordan Ressler First Feature Award is awarded to the filmmaker of the jury-selected best film by a debut feature narrative filmmaker.

Miami Film Festival Short Film Award is given to a jury-selected short film (30 min or less) of any genre from anywhere in the world.
