Trifole

Dalia, in her late twenties, is sent by her mother to care for her grandfather, Igor, in Piedmont, Northern Italy, hoping rural life will help Dalia find direction. On arrival, Dalia is shocked by Igor's dementia and his state of wellbeing. Facing eviction as local wineries encroach on truffle lands, they bond through the struggle. Igor shares his truffle hunting secrets, sending Dalia on a journey for the mythical 'lightning-struck' truffle, leading her on an adventure that offers newfound purpose.

Starring Umberto Orsini, a legendary figure in Italian cinema who has worked with filmmakers such Federico Fellini and Michelangelo Antonioni, and elevated by gorgeous scenery and the endearing presence of Birba the dog, Trifole is a bittersweet Italian fable.
