The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd

When a teacher in an abusive marriage takes a job leading creative writing classes at a maximum security prison, she begins to fall for a charismatic inmate. The consequences call into question not only the nature of punishment and retribution, but the very limits of our humanity.

Based on actual events and starring Amanda Seyfried and Scoot McNairy in powerhouse performances, The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd is morally complex and utterly intense, asking us to personally wrestle with our own ideas of justice, culpability, and redemption in this unforgettable film from actor-turned-director Tim Blake Nelson.
