Seven Blessings (Sheva Brachot)

When Marie was two years old, her Moroccan Jewish mother gave her to her barren sister. Now 40 years old and living in France, Marie still harbors feelings of anger and hurt. Despite this, she decides to have her wedding in Israel, where her large family follows the tradition of the Seven Blessings, a week of festive meals in the bride's honor.
Along these seven days, old wounds and secrets surface, and the celebration turns into a bittersweet mix of food, emotions, and belated forgiveness.
_Seven Blessings _was Israel’s most recent official entry for the Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. It also was a huge success at the Ophirs, taking home 10 awards including Best Picture.
