94 mins

In Plaza Cathedral, Mexican film star Ilse Salas is riveting as Alicia, a luxury real estate agent catering to Panama City’s wealthy class. Yet beneath her perfectly composed professionalism, Alicia is isolated, tightly wound, and ready to explode.

One night, when she arrives home to her apartment in the Old Quarter of Panama, a rich colonial enclave surrounded by Panama's poorest neighborhoods, she meets Chief, a 13-year-old who takes care of cars in front of her apartment in order to survive on the hard-scrabble, violent-tinged streets of homeless youth.

Alicia keeps a safe distance from him, until one night Chief arrives at Alicia's apartment bleeding from a gunshot wound and begs her to let him inside. Fighting her defensive instincts, Alicia struggles with her sense of moral choice and once again allows herself to make human connection.
