Nora has been living in NYC, following her dreams of “aspiring comedy writer,” but teaching took over, a job she’s just quit or been fired from — it’s complicated. Before she can figure out her next move, Nora finds herself back home, in Miami– Kendall, to be exact, dressed as a dancing grape, performing at children’s birthday parties with her Abuela and Tío.
This particular party turns out to be Nora’s worst anxiety nightmare come to life. All of her high school nemesis, crushes, and most memorable classmates are there, watching her fail. Except, maybe she’s not failing at all. Maybe she’s just growing, transitioning from one version of herself to a better one. And maybe, just maybe, those Octo/Nonagenarians she’s working with might have something to teach her after all.
