Erma (50s, Cuban) arrives to Little Haiti with a painting. She needs to find the man in this painting. Who could he be? She doesn’t know. All she knows: her son painted him and that the man lives in Little Haiti. Unable to speak English, she enlists the help of Wilky (14, Haitian-American). The two venture into the colorful neighborhood on his electric scooter, showing the painting to locals, with hopes of finding the man. When they do find him, Erma reveals to him that her son passed away. The man (also a painter) surprises Erma with a portrait of her son.
