Leviticus

Directed by Adrian Chiarella

88 mins

In Leviticus, two teenage boys must escape a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire most – each other. Leviticus is one of the scariest films so far this year, and yet it’s also beautifully romantic and has been billed in the media as Heated Rivalry meets It Follows. The film’s themes of gay conversion therapy and hidden queer romance are perfect for a claustrophobic horror film.

Leviticus was the first film to be bought by a distributor at this year’s Sundance, when Neon swept in to buy it immediately after its world premiere. Starring Joe Bird (Talk to Me) and Stacy Clausen as the lovers under attack, and featuring Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland).
