The small suburban area of Latas Village in Indonesia is known for its traditional trance parties, a long-standing ritual and form of entertainment passed down through generations. So when channelers face eviction from the sacred spring where they seek the spirits, Bayu is determined to become a mighty spirit channeler himself and lead a grand fundraising party to buy the spring back. He soon discovers that ambition alone is not enough to make him a true spirit channeler, or to save the village he calls home.
