Inés, a 70-year-old woman facing terminal cancer, leads a listless life in a housing complex. When the community discovers that the building is to be sold to a foreigner, Milly, her neighbor, tries to organize a counteroffer so that the tenants can become owners of the complex. Initially indifferent, Agnes decides to put the future of others above her own death and joins the fight to prevent the eviction. In a decisive act of resistance, Inés takes a final step that buys the community the time needed to acquire the complex and secure its future.
