Amid the Venezuelan exodus, two young adults on opposite paths meet at a crossroads. Roberto, convinced that his country needs him, works for the Caracas Metro and is determined to stay. Selina, yearning for escape, lives in Italy looking for a way to leave her Venezuelan passport behind. When Roberto gets a job offer abroad and Selina gets trapped in Venezuela during Christmas vacation, they must decide... stay behind or migrate?

_Hambre _is an important and timely film on the current Venezuelan crisis and is directed by Joanna Cristina Nelson based upon personal experiences: “I needed to capture what triggered millions of Venezuelans to migrate, to abandon their country and why they couldn’t take it anymore.”
