Good Bad Things director Shane D. Stanger wrote the role of Danny for his childhood friend, Danny Kurtzman, drawing from his experiences and their strong friendship. The film premiered at Slamdance, a festival for indies that runs alongside Sundance, where it won the audience award in the Unstoppable section.
