Fjord (Preview Night)

Master filmmaker Cristian Mungiu is back with an explosive moral drama. When a Norwegian woman and her devout Romanian husband relocate with their five children to a close-knit and remote coastal town, their teenagers form a fast bond with a neighboring family as unease begins to simmer around the newcomers’ rigid beliefs. When allegations of abuse emerge against them, they’re forced to confront a system of judgment that blurs the line between concern and prejudice.

Starring Sebastian Stan, recipient of MFF’s 2024 MFF’s Precious Gem Award, and Renate Reinsve, Fjord won the Palme d’Or at Cannes.
