Excursion (Ekskurzija)

In Sarajevo, a young teenager seeking validation on a class excursion claims that she had sex for the first time during a game of truth or dare among middle schoolers. Trapped in her own lie, she invents a pregnancy – when the rumors run through the school, she becomes the center of a controversy that spirals out of control.

Excursion, directed by Una Gunjak, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and was honored with a Special Mention award. It was also selected as the Bosnian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards.
