Welcoming 45,000 attendees and 300 industry professionals annually, the festival showcases over 100 films from 40 countries, including world premieres and award-winning titles.

Bringing the world’s best emerging and established filmmakers to the diverse cosmopolitan community of Miami. The festival also hosts industry events like the Mercado de Cine Francés y Europeo and Variety’s International Feature Film Award Roundtable, along with workshops, masterclasses, and legendary parties.

Over the years, it has welcomed renowned filmmakers and actors such as Barry Jenkins, Isabelle Huppert, Richard Gere, Rashida Jones, Spike Lee, Pedro Almodóvar, Penélope Cruz, Rita Moreno, Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Nicolas Cage and Andy García. Committed to supporting local talent, the festival presents a series of awards, including the prestigious Knight Made in MIA prize for locally produced films. Cash awards totalling more than $100,000 are given in competition categories each year.
