We like to call it our “mini-fest”, but there’s nothing mini about the major momentum behind the films that make up this annual festival experience.

Gems brings the year’s biggest films to Miami along with filmmaker appearances, seminars, parties, and special events.

Just last year, Gems audiences got to see titles like The Brutalist, I’m Still Here, A Real Pain, & more before they came out in theaters. They were also treated to conversations with the year’s top talent like Pamela Anderson and Sebastian Stan!

Formerly known as MIFFecito, the Miami Film Festival introduced Gems in 2014 as a fall showcase at MDC’s Tower Theater Miami. Originally a seven-day event featuring 10 red-carpet premieres and in-person appearances, it was rebranded as Gems Film Festival in 2015. Today, Gems continues to celebrate the best of world cinema in a dynamic and immersive setting.
