Executive Director, MDC’s Miami Film Festival
The Executive Director oversees all operations of Miami Film Festival (MFF) programs and activities, including the alignment and branding of all film and ancillary programming occurring under the MFF umbrella. The position provides overall leadership in the artistic, business, financial, operations, and development functions of the Miami Film Festival. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

Paid Opportunity $2,500 / Semester (16 Weeks)
Commitment: 10 hours per week
Student Brand Ambassador(s) will work with the Partnership Manager and Director of Partnerships to connect and outreach to the student body at various campuses with priority given to their home campus on behalf of MDC’s Miami Film Festival and Tower Theater Miami.
Candidates should be friendly, outgoing, reliable, and a strong communicator both verbally and in writing. Candidates must be able to work in dynamic, high-energy environments, problem solving, public speaking, and working/communicating with a team. English/Spanish or English/Kreyol bilingualism is a plus.
Ideal skills: Knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter; Knowledge of various MDC campuses, departments, clubs, and events.

The Miami Film Festival offers year-round internship programs designed to provide students with experience, knowledge and skills in the operation of a cultural destination event.
MDC’s Tower Theater Miami is the festival’s year-round art house cinema and is considered one of the top ten theaters in the states according to USA Today.

All internships require a strong degree of responsibility and are supervised to facilitate learning and experience. They are designed to provide a broad understanding of various work settings work styles.
Internships are unpaid but can be used toward credit requirements.

2023 Spring Semester
The Miami Film Festival internships are temporary assignments that last approximately 12-16 weeks. Internships occurring during a given academic year typically require a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week. However, the hours and length of the internship can be adjusted depending on the needs of the department and the availability of the student.
