South of 5th is a 5-minute animated short documentary that showcases interviews with Miami's pioneer art dealer Barbara Gillman, a long-time Miami Beach resident. She and her family witnessed the changes in her neighborhood during the thirties, forties, and fifties. The documentary features parts of two interviews recorded in 2013, which were recently discovered by her family to be part of this project.
Karla Caprai is an animator and filmmaker born and raised in Belém, a city known as the edge of the Amazon rainforest. She is an artist who began her career as a painter before changing direction to become an animator.
