Sentimental Value (Affeksjonsverdi)
Estranged sisters Nora and Agnes reunite with their absent father, the charismatic Gustav, a once-renowned director who offers stage actress Nora a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. When Nora turns it down, she soon discovers he has given the part to an eager young Hollywood star. Suddenly, the siblings must navigate their complicated relationship with their father – and deal with an American actor dropped right into the middle of their complex family dynamics – in this Cannes Grand Prix winner.
Directed by Joachim Trier (writer-director of the Oscar-nominated film The Worst Person in the World), Sentimental Value is yet another film that proves that Trier is one of the most gifted, empathetic filmmakers working today.
Sentimental Value is a GEMS Centerpiece and has a higher price ticket, and is excluded from passes.
