Not Today

Eric catches his friend Jaime doing something frightening when he thinks nobody is watching. Now, Eric's worried about what he saw. It just doesn't make sense, especially for someone who's always been so jovial. Perhaps it was a one-time thing he shouldn't read into. Maybe Jaime really is just stressed, and that's also why he's been avoiding the group...or maybe it's a warning sign that something bad could happen if Eric doesn't bring it up — if only he could figure out how...

Made from a distinctly gay, outsider's perspective, Not Today portrays the complex emotions young men experience but do not articulate and their need for connection within heteronormative, masculine social environments that discourage vulnerability.

'Not Today' is screening with:

Cut to the root of what all films are about: connection. Whether it be between lovers or friends, these films capture the longing we know all too well.
