How do you cope when your second chance begins to slide the way of the first? For Maria, struggling to raise four children and keep her professional head above water while her second husband Sigmind briefly dips an overly cheery toe in the chaos between seemingly endless business trips, the answer at first appears to be…not so well.

When Sigmund responds to her resentment with a request for divorce, Maria’s crisis of confidence goes from a simmer to a boil. After all, once could be the fault of someone else or no one at all. But twice? That’s uncomfortable common denominator territory. Realizing the only way out is through once Sigmund drops out of couple’s therapy, Maria goes on a quest of self-inventory and examination to see if perhaps accepting herself in full will make the third time the charm.
