After being visited by a spirit as a child, Jérôme "Junior" Simeon's destiny as a drummer was set in stone. Quickly climbing the local ranks, Junior was recruited by top Haitian roots music group Racine Mapou de Azor and spent the next two decades touring the world and sharing his music with the masses.
When the lead singer of his band dies unexpectedly, Junior's high-profile career comes to a shocking halt and he suddenly faces an uncertain future for himself and his legacy. Unbeknownst to Junior, his dream to pass on the passion of the drum is already in full effect.
A.J. Wilhelm attended the University of Michigan studying politics, music, and film. Following graduation, A.J. worked at National Geographic Society in Washington D.C. while also performing as a touring musician. This is A.J.'s first film as director.
