Inspired by the Madrigal Ten, a group of ten Latina women who were sterilized without consent while giving birth at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center during the 1970s, FOR ROSA tells the riveting story of Eva. After being informed of her sterilization, she is faced with a life-altering decision: whether to join Jessica, a 26-year-old fierce Chicana attorney, and nine other women in a lawsuit against the hospital.

Kathryn Boyd-Batstone is a director and cinematographer of narrative and documentary films in the Los Angeles area. She is a USC School of Cinematic Arts MFA graduate with a master's degree in cinematography and directing.
