Empire Records – on Rex Manning Day with Ethan Embry

In Empire Records, an independent Delaware record store employs a tight-knit group of music-savvy youths. Learning that the shop may be sold to a big chain, slacker employee Lucas (Rory Cochrane) grabs the day’s take and heads for the casino, taking a gamble that he’ll be able to win enough money to save it. When that plan fails Empire falls into serious trouble, and its ragtag band of clerks must find a way out – as personalities clash, secrets are revealed, and a washed-up pop star arrives for Rex Manning Day. The film also stars Liv Tyler, Renée Zellweger, and Debi Mazar.
