For the last six months, we’ve been hard at work to perfect a fresh look for the same Miami Film Festival you know and love.
Taken from movie-making slang, it refers to the time of day shortly after sunrise or before sunset, when the brightness of the sky matches streetlights, headlights, and lit windows. Fleeting, sought-after, tinged with potential, it’s the optimal conditions for capturing something amazing—as well as a little nod to the city’s nickname, “Magic City.”
From the new logo, reminiscent of theater marquees and Coral Gables street signs, to the magic glow that permeates our redesigned website, evoking both the radiance of a cinema screen and the allure of a hot summer night, this rebrand is a love letter to the authentic movie-going experience.
Additionally, with a color palette lifted straight from local architecture, and our Latin-American-designed typefaces, this project aims to honor the Miami of today and tomorrow.
With a faster, more efficient booking experience, and a more intuitive restructuring of our program offerings, it’s now easier than ever to access a local bridge to global cinema. We hope to see you in a theater soon. After all, the best movies are best viewed together.
