MIAMI DADE COLLEGE’S MIAMI FILM FESTIVAL
& THE RELATED GROUP
ANNOUNCE MIAMI FILM 2017

Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival and The Related Group announce an open call for MIAMI FILM 2017, an initiative to award 3 cash prizes in the amount of $5,000 each to films from Latin America, based on project quality.

Projects must be:

  • From Latin America
  • A short film, maximum 30 minutes in length
  • Of high artistic value, representing work for filmmaker of significant promise for future development, particularly toward feature films
  • Have had their world premiere after March 30, 2016, or will world premiere at Miami Film Festival 2017

Program details:

  • Projects will be reviewed by a 5-member independent jury
  • Up to 10 finalists will be selected by December 31, 2016
  • 3 winning submissions will be selected from the finalists
  • Winners will receive $5,000 each
  • Winners will be announced mid-January 2017
  • Winners will be invited to travel to Miami to receive their awards, and participate in Miami Film Festival 2017, as their films screen in a joint event
